Intending Unseen Miracles

When you embrace uncertainty and include intention and detachment,
then the most improbable happens. That’s what we call a miracle.
– Deepak Chopra

Embrace uncertainty.  Knowing that even though you don't know what's going to happen, you can handle it and it's going to lead you somewhere great.

Include intention.  Knowing what you want to get out of the situation personally, no matter how it presents itself.

Detachment.  Being open to any way that God presents your intention in manifested form.  Not putting limits on the Universe because you believe things have to look or appear in a specific way.

All these things leave possibility WIDE open for us, and God creates miracles in ways we never would have imagined.  When you don't put limitations on yourself or God, the world, in its entirety, is at your complete disposal.

Fear not the unknown.  It is only opportunity waiting for you to allow it to unfold.

Sweet Remembrances

Sow good services: sweet remembrances will grow from them.
– Madame de Stael

Kindness is the best service we can provide for others.  No matter what is happening around you, you always have a choice to react with your ego or to react with kindness.

Rarely are we remembered as we are.  More often we are remembered by our deeds.

Commit good deeds and kind services and you will be remembered for them.

People WANT to think good thoughts and feel good about you.  By acting from your true self, you give them plenty of evidence to associate with you.

But here's the Magick~ You will also remember your own kindness and that will bring you to think good thoughts and feel good things about YOURSELF.

One simple kindness can touch many.

The Power to Be Enlightened

The very fact that you desire to be enlightened will give you the power to be enlightened. That is the fuel. Flame it. Fuel it.
– Marsha Sinetar

Within the acorn is the all the mighty oak needs to become the mighty oak.

The power is in the intention.  Not in the reading of books or the practicing of ritual, but in the WANTING.  Once you want it, it is moving toward you.  No exception.

All you must do is fuel the flame of your desire.

How does one fuel a desire?

NOT by worrying about it not coming.
Not by complaining about what's missing.
Not by looking at the lack.

How does one fuel a desire?

By LOVING it.
Take one part desire and add one part love, mix until combined, and let rise.

Season of Magick

What we need is to use what we have.
– Susan Sontag

I've been thinking about this concept more and more as Christmas approaches.

Christmas has become SO commercialized.  The television wants to convince us all that we need things that are bigger and better and faster and prettier and more useful.

We don't.

I'm baking cinnamon sticky buns for everyone for Christmas.  They're all getting a small, less than $10, single item, and a package of homemade, cinnamon sticky buns.  Merry Christmas.

It's not a contest to see how much money you can spend, or a scale of how much you're loved.  It's a holiday about family and love and togetherness.

We're even making homemade cards this year.

Even though I don't agree with the Christian community who insist that Jesus was born December 25th, I do still believe with all my heart that, Christ is the reason for the season.

Be like Christ for Christmas.  Open, loving, forgiving, allowing, happy, and conscious.

The rest is constructed by ego to assuage ego.  Besides, it's not called Ego-mas or Satan-mas.... although how funny is it that Santa visits and brings with him all the garbage of ego?

That seems like a Spiritual lesson in itself.

Christmas is about Christ.  The Christ in you.  And we all go out and donate to Gifts for Kids, and the Salvation Army, and food banks, and homeless shelters.  We all talk about love and family and we bake warm goodies to share.  We drag a living tree into our homes and decorate it beautifully to celebrate the triumph of life over death.

But all "Hell" breaks loose every time we think about the money.  What we have to buy for whom and how much it's going to cost us.  And then the real ego fest begins on Christmas morning after "Satan Mac Ego-Demon" has come in the night and filled our lives with enough garbage that we forget the true magick of the season.

Not that I'm dissing getting new stuff, cause stuff is cool.  We're in this world of form to LOVE it.  Love your new stuff and SWIM in the gratitude of it.  Appreciate everything old and everything new and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

But don't forget the magick.

PS. America is the only country that goes completely broke and in debt to buy bigger and better for Christmas.  Other countries worldwide are still into the giving of a couple gifts in celebration of the season.  We're the only ones made out to be failures if we don't spend a fortune on junk we don't need.  And we're the ones that made up that idea.  Nuttin like kicking your OWN self.  What are we thinking?

Daydreams, Nightmares, & Fantasies, Oh My!

Fantasies are more than substitutes for unpleasant reality; they are also dress rehearsals, plans. All acts performed in the world begin in the imagination.
– Barbara Grizzuti Harrison

Ten years.

That's how long it's been that I've been on this path, how long I've been a seeker.

On my path, and TONS of similar paths, it is well known that, we get what we think about, and that goes for daydreams and fantasies too.  Even in the Bible it speaks of being pure of mind.

Still I will sit here and see terrible things play out in my mind.  Still I will see all the ways my current venture could go wrong.

It's funny how we do that.  It's funny how we can know the truth and yet sill indulge the lie from time to time.

I wonder if Jesus imagined for a moment what it would be like if Roman Guards came to arrest and persecute him?  Or if Ghandi entertained being beaten when he was standing up for non-violence?

Do not mentally entertain anything which you do not also wish to entertain in your living room.
I do believe that's my new motto.

Aye Aye Captain!

I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning to sail my ship.
– Louisa May Alcott

We have nothing to fear from the storms in life.

Storms appear to bring in tides that threaten to drown us. We must come to understand that the "bad" must exist in order for the good to come, and the good often comes in on the tides of the bad....

It is our job to learn how to navigate our minds through the water.  How to pick what we want to see out of the storm of what's possible.

The storm only exists if you sit in your boat, in the middle of it and contemplate the severity of it.

If you look out through the storm and keep your eye on the calm in the distance, the storm isn't a storm at all.  It's just a pulsing of energy around you that's pushing you toward wherever you're focus is leading!

May the Force be with You

Do or do not. There is no try.

– Yoda

This quote became very real for me when I quit smoking back in 2006.  I actually heard myself say I would TRY to quit smoking.

One cannot try to quit smoking.  Saying you will TRY to do something is already admitting defeat before you've started.

Try says it's going to be REALLY hard and you might not make it.  You might be unsuccessful.  You could fail.

I don't know about you, but for me... if I want it bad enough to bother with, I don't want to TRY... I want to DO, SEE, ENJOY, BECOME.... not try.  Seems like if you try, half your focus is on the failure.

Do or do not.... it's completely up to you... but there is no try.

All for One and One for All

Healing yourself is connected with healing others.

– Yoko Ono

If there IS no "out there"... and it is ONLY "in here" then healing others is the same as healing yourself.  When you heal your perceptions, you heal those whom you perceive.

We are all energetically connected.  Healing just one heals the collective.
