Exaserbating the Issue

Often we make our problems much larger than they are.

Don't look for the worst case scenario.  Look for the best possible angle.

You're going to find whatever point of view you seek, so purposefully seek a point of view that makes the task at hand sound easier.

Look for reasons why the task at hand will be a cinch, not for reasons why you're might fail!
